Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe

NEW MINISTRY POSITION OPEN FOR APPLICANTS!!

The CHILDREN AND YOUTH FAITH FORMATION DIRECTOR is a full-time, benefit-eligible employee responsible for directing the following three-fold mission at St. Joseph Parish and School: 1) overseeing the coordination and direction of the K-8 parish Religious Education Program, including sacramental preparation for both parish and school children (combined); 2) coordinating Masses and other spiritual growth opportunities for the parish school; and 3) implementing a program of comprehensive youth ministry consistent with the principles established by the diocesan Office for Youth and Young Adult Ministry. This important position works to provide vision and coordination of the parish’s efforts in ministry to our children and young people. The goal of this ministry is not solely to impart the intellectual content of our Catholic faith in preparation for sacraments (catechesis), but also integrating the faith in such a way as to set their hearts on fire for Jesus and His Church (evangelization). We seek to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
Interested parties should submit a complete resume and letter of interest to Father Timothy Marcoe, pastor, at frtmarcoe@hbgdiocese.org. Questions can also be directed to Fr. Marcoe via email or at (570) 275-2512, ext. 2. A more detailed ministry description can be found here. Application deadline is May 17, 2021.

MAY WE PRAY FOR YOU?

Do you have someone, a situation, or something you would like the Church to pray for? If so, please send your intentions to the parish via email (sjcd@verizon.net) or regular mail.  We will print them out and place them on the altar to be prayed for in our weekly intentions.  We hope this is one more way we can remain united with one another spiritually, even though physically we are still separated.
